If the tables are not being held properly in one location the discovery will be intermittent at best. The next step is enabling IGMP and possibly, depending on your exact requirements, enabling or disabling multicast traffic via wireless access points. Multicast traffic via your WiFi network is a decision that should not be taken lightly as it is very easy to overload a wireless access point with multicast traffic.
Also of note is that not all wireless access points are capable of handling multicast traffic; please refer to manufacturer documentation. Locate your network in the list. If it is a basic network, you may only see one listed. You will now be presented with a list of all configured wireless networks.
On the same page we just enabled IGMPv3, we now have some options in regards to multicast traffic and how it is handled between the LAN and the wireless network. By default, the wireless network is setup to allow multicast traffic to move from the LAN to the wireless network. This is fine if it is restricted to limited users who are aware of the limitations.
You may notice that when checked; by default the system adds the USG as an exception to the rule. These exceptions allow you to define specific hardware that IS allowed to send multicast traffic from the LAN to the wireless.
If you are going to use multicast over wireless, this is a highly recommended method for implementation. Add any additional hardware you may be trying to access multicast feeds from over the wireless network to this exception s list. Note that you do not need to define any additional devices here if you plan to access all multicast feeds from your LAN.
With the steps provided below we will log into each switch on the network and manually configure the switches to communicate properly. Basically, we want to select the network switch that is the MOST central to all other switches and the multicast equipment being utilized on them.

The IP Even though, I can ping all devices on the Again, I know that all others aggregated interfaces are working because I can ping everything from my computer except the FortiGate.
Not only that but on the HP switch I issued the command: display link-aggregation summary. On the Cisco switch I use the command: show interface port-channel 1 and on the Unifi switch the commands: telnet Everything seems to be in order.
On the Unifi switch the mac address of the switches and the FortiGate are listed. Here is an article I used in order to create switch port profiles. It just looks like your switch is not tagging the traffic for VLAN5 and forwarding it untagged? Ubiquiti documentation is notorious for being lacking. It's one of the biggest gripes and lack of proper support from them. That's why their devices are inexpensive I suppose. There is a trade-off somewhere. It's only required if you want them to find the controller automatically. At that point the unifi DNS records isn't needed. With the record it simplifies life as you can just power it up and it'll show up automatically pending adoption.

They have about 25 users that will be connected to the WiFi for the mean time to get them going until I can fully plan out a network plan for them. They are in a hurry to get off their hotspots so this was the fastest thing I could do until all the cables are terminated, network is planned out, etc They didn't have internet in the building till just recently when ATT installed fiber and a mb Ciena and their router.
This is Ubiquiti equipment that was purchased for them. I have mounted everything on the rack and ran all the cables to where the Access Points will be in the ceiling. Now its time to configure everything. Where I'm a little confused is the Static IP. So After installing the fiber and internet ATT left me a static ip, a dhcp port, and a voice port on their router.
Can anybody help me plan that out or point me in the right direction of using the static to configure the equipment?
